ABSTRACT
A motorized potato chipping machine was
designed, fabricated and tested. This is perhaps a major advancement in the
development of potato chips. The machine was made as simple as possible for
easy maintenances and repair. It was designed to chip one finger of potato at a
time and the speed of the machines is 385.7r.p.m it has a power requirement of
0.45hp. The performance gave an efficiency of 57% and the throughput capacity
is 132.6kg/ hr.
