ABSTRACT
Given the problem of traditional policing which involves reacting to crimes being committed, an efficient process of community policing is needed to achieve results in preventing crimes from happening rather than reacting to them. This project reports on a web based information exchange platform developed by the author for use by the police and the community it protects. This project is aimed at creating a platform that increases the flow and efficiency of information between the police and its community. The system was designed using the OOAD methodology and implemented using HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the front end design and PHP and MySQL for the back end. Visual Studio Code is used as the text editor while XAMPP server is the local host. This project is expected to provide a website which will be a platform for the police and the members of its community to share information in order to improve security and protection of life and property.
