Time Series Analysis Of Temperature At Onne Rivers State

ABSTRACT
This project work studies the temperature data for Onne in Rivers State (1989-1998). The ultimate aim is to design a mathematical model which could be used to predict future temperature values. The method of simple descriptive time series analysis was employed using the multiplicative model. The result of the analysis showed the trend was constant about the overall mean, there were seasonal effects and slight cyclical effects too. The trend, seasonal and cyclical components were used for the forecast while the irregular component was used to construct the confidence limits for the forecast values.
