Time Series Analysis Of Internally Generated Revenue In Abia State.

ABSTRACT

This is a time series analysis of internally generated revenue in Abia State. The aim of applying time series on this monthly data from the year 1994 to the year 1999, is to produce a picture of the original data over this period under consideration and to ascertain through statistical test the existence of trend and to forecast the future revenue. By the use of computer software MINITAB package, Autoregressive integrated moving average model was fitted. The model revealed that internally generated revenue of Abia State had no seasonal influence. Precisely, the model was Arima (111). Based on the result, some recommendation were made which will help in increasing the monthly internally generated revenue for this state.
