ABSTRACT

 The study investigated the impact of modern information technologies on workers performance in the public sector. The major objectives of the study are to determine the impact of modern information technology on workers 'productivity, to examine the level of modern information technology adoption in the public sector, to ascertain the impact of modern information technology on worker's job performance. To achieve the objectives of the study, survey research design was adopted. The researcher adopted primary data in getting the required information. The population of the study is made of JOO respondents while sample size is made of 80 after adopting taro Yamane formula. In testing the hypotheses, regression analysis was used. The findings revealed that modern information technology has no significant impact on workers' productivity. It was recommended that Organizations should increase their innovative capability due to the business dynamics which enables firms to attain a towering competitiveness level in both the state and global market.
