Abstract
This paper looked at one of the innovation in assessment for human development, eassessment. Infonnation and communication technology has allowed the use ofinline services m assessment. Secondary school teachers in Abia state perception ofe-assessment as a panaceafor examination challenges. 200 (two hundred) teachers were purposely and randomly selectedfrom schools in 3 (three) local government areas ofAbia State. 10 item restricted response Likert-type of questionnaires was developed, validated and its reliability index found to be 0.93. Three research questions were asked and answered using mean. Recommendations were made based on thefindings. Online testing will deal a great blow on examination malpractices and will help reduce the other challenges ofexaminations.
