ABSTRACT

This study was undertaken to investigate the laying pattern, external and internal qualities of Muscovy and Aylesbury ducks in a humid tropical environment. Results revealed that Muscovy eggs weighed significantly (PO.05) different except for yolk height which measured more in the Muscovy (45.44±0.97cm) than in the Aylesbury (38.12±1.77cm). Generally, the Muscovy eggs weighed more and had fairly better egg quality traits than the Aylesbury duck eggs.
