Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine strategies for integrating digital marketing strategics for enhanced service delivery in medical libraries. The study is conceptual and opinion based. The paper noted developments in marketing of library and information services around the world to effectively satisfy the infonnation needs of library clicntcles. It also examined the influence of modem technologies which has necessitated the need to recreate marketing in libraries especially medical libraries to incorporate the technological trends and become relevant to users. The paper also describes the traditional as well as the digital marketing strategies for medical libraries. and made recommendations for enhancement. The concluded by noting that as the government provides huge amount of funding to medical libraries for the acquisition and provision of medical library resources and services, negligence towards the marketing of these services will do injustice to the money invested.
