ABSTRACT

A survey was carried out on National Root Crops Research lnstitut.,e kcscr\TO ir (N.R.C.R.1) Umudilcc, Abia State, to detaminu the impact of land use on water quality. Spearman Rank corrclation analysis was carried out using non-parametric analysis; one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was re-run with stations as the only main factor and rneaiis were compared for significance using the Duncan's multiple range Tes.t (DMRT), and also to identify the stations that differ from one another. Pearson's correlation coefficients were used to dctermnc the interrelationship between physico-chemcial and nutrient parameters and macroinvertebrate community attributes.
