Impact Of Inflation On The Manufacturing Sector Of The Nigerian Economy (A Study Of Selected Manufacturing Sector, Nsukka):- Ezema Prosper

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of inflation on the manufacturing sector of the Nigerian economy (A Sthdy of Solive Olein Vegetable Oil, Nsukka Local Government, Enugu State). The objective of the study is to examine the extent to which inflation affect the productivities of Solive Olein Vegetable Oil, Nsukka local government, Enugu State and to ascertain if there is any relationship between inflation and incentive of workers. Primary sources of data are those ones obtained by the researcher for this particular study through interviews and questionnaires. The structured interview will facilitate easy collection of data from selected management staff of Solive Olein Vegetable Oil, Nsukka Local Government, Enugu State and both the descriptive and inferential statistical tools will be applied. The empirical assessment result indicates a significant stable long run link between inflation and the manufacturing sector productivity, indicating that there is a significant negative relationship between inflation and the manufacturing sector productivity suggest inflation during the period under consideration has led to a decrease in manufacturing sector productivity.
