ABSTRACT
I use this opportunity to welcome everyone who honored the invitation to be present at this my Inaugural Lecture which happens to be the 39,h in the series for Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU). It is a great privilege forme to also be the 3rd Inaugural Lecturer from College of Natural Resources and Environmental Management (CNREM) and the first person from Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management (FISHARM) since the commencement of academic activities in MOUAU in 1994. I count it a great privilege.
