Factors Militating against Women in Management Position in Abia State

ABSTRACT
The study examines the factors militating against yeomen in management positions. For the past three decades percentage of women participation in the formal sector employment in Nigeria had been dismally low. The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of women "s participation in leadership and management positions of public institution and the factors that affect their participation in Abia state administration. Two hypotheses were drawn out for the studies. The descriptive method of analysis was employed to examine the questionnaires administered. 105 women were selected through random sampling techniques and the selection is -women Affairs ministries The result shows that, there is a relationship between status of women and their management positions in Abia state.
