Pedagogical trends are equally driving the demand for tools as well as physical and virtual venues to support active and collaborative learning. Consequently, Nigerian libraries and particularly those in tertiary institutions have begun to establish digital libraries and the employment of digital information technology in libraries and information centers necessitates the acquisition of technical abilities, knowledge, skills, and competencies by librarians and infora,, professionals to appropriately navigate through the digital informal,, world for effective service delivery.
