ABSTRACT

This work is an overview off the evaluation of the impact off banks assets structures on the profitability of deposit money banks in Nigeria. The major problem investigated is (hat banks have usability to profitability. In addition secondary data were collected through (he CBN bullctiiT in carrying out the research. Multiple regression were used to analyze data in line with the objectives ol (he study. Result of the analysis shows that loan, finance lease and investment has a positive impact in banks profitability, while interest rate has negative impact on the profitability. The researcher therefore recommend that the banks should invest more on investment an,d reduce high rate of interest to encourage the customers to take up more loans on the assets of the banks to increase profitability.
