ABSTRACT

This research is on the evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management in public sector organization. Findings obtained from the analysis of the survey data reveal that financial management occupy a vital position in the decision-making and policy formulation process of the organization. Financial manages in the public sector organization satisfy the accountability needs of the public and ensure that the financial functions makes full contribution to achieving the aims and objectives of the organization. Furthermore, financial management brings into focus the strict financial issues in the evaluation of all cause of action and their consequence in the organization. This of course helps the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management which in turn enhance the achievement of organizational goals and objective of a particular organization.
