Effect Of Revenue And Fund Generation On The Development Of Local Governments In Nigeria (A Study Of Umuahia Local Government Area)

This project work examines the Effect of Revenue and Fund Generation in the Development of Local Governments in Nigeria/ using U.muahia North Local Governmentas a case study. This work aim at examining the corrupt practices by revenue training of revenue collectors affect the policy of contracting out revenue collectors of revenue generation and it was analyzeusing analysisof variance. The empirical analysisresult revealedthat calculatedt-vetue is higher that is the-attemetive nypothesis (H1) accepted which implies that there is a significant effect on the development of local government areas in Nigeria and there is a relationship between the revenue collectors and revenue staff. It was recommended that revenue staff should undergo regularjob training and retaining to ensure the cspecity updating in revenue generation and that revenue units of local governments should be staffed with experienced and well educated personnel in the field of revenue generation.
