ABSTRACT

This work was carried out to determine the effect of product offering on profitability of selected bakery enterprise in Abia state. It was done to determine the various products offered by bakery enterprise in Abia state and its effect on their profitability. The study was conducted in Abia state. The state is located in the south eastern part of Nigeria. The research adopted simple random sampling techniques and 60 respondents were selected randomly. 35% of these respondents were the owners of the business, 40% were managers while 25% were workers in the enterprise. Data was sourced through the use of a well structured questionnaire and oral interview. The analytical tools adopted where descriptive statistics, income statement, correlation and regression. Result sows that there is a strong relationship between the number of product offered by bakeries and profitability. Further results show that the number of products offered by bakery enterprise in Abia state significantly affects profitability
