Effect Of Privatization Of Government Owned Company On Service Delivery In Akwa Ibom State Nigeria :- Esin, Esther I

ABSTRACT

The study examined the effect ofprivatization ofgovernment owned Transport Company on service delivery in Abia State, with specific purpose to investigate effect ofprivatization of government owned Transport Company' bn services deliveiy. The random sampling procedure was adopted and a dhi square test statistic was used to test the hypothesis given. The test revealed the following that privately owned transport company has advantage over the public owned company. That there is a significance relationship between effective control of transport system operation and services deliveiy. Despite the statistics and sampling procedures used in the analysis ofthe data, the result shows that privately owned transport managers have a greater incentive than the public owned transport company. Finally, the following recommendations were made that a committee should be established to oversee activities ofprivately owned companies. That privatization should be done in all sector not only in transportation.
