Effect Of Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System On Budget Implementation In Nigeria (A Study Of Selected Ministries In Fct Abuja)

ABSTRACT

This study examines the effect of Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System on Budget Implementation in Nigeria. In conducting this research, data was collected from Primary and Secondary sources using questionnaire and relevant literature was reviewed as to provide information for the study. A population of 150 persons was used, data was analysed using Spearman correlation analysis using SPSS V.20. It was found out that IPPIS adoption has an effect on total relevant expenditure in Nigeria amid also that IPPIS adoption has a positive correlation with fiscal savings but is not significant. Therefore, the researcher recomin ends that the government continue to put in place measures that will strengthen the IPPIS policy so as to ensure more fiscal discipline and budget execution and also set in place more measures that will bring a brand new stringent IPPIS policy implementation so as to facilitate increase in fiscal savings as a result of budget excesses been curtailed.
