Effect Of Auditing On Efficient Financial Management Of An Organization (A Study Of Union Bank PLC).

ABSTRACT

 The study investigated on the effect of auditing on efficient financial management of an organization. The main objectives of the study is to examine the effect of auditing for efficient financial management of an organization. To achieve the objectives of the study, survey research design method was adopted. The researcher adopted primary data in getting the required information. The population of the study is made up of 30 respondents while the sample size is made up of 28 after adopting taro Yamane formula. However, a total 28 questionnaire was administered to the respondents. In testing the hypotheses, simple regression analysis was used. The findings revealed that Auditing has a significant effect on proper use of organizational funds •and assets of firms in Nigeria. The findings further revealed that Auditing has significant on fraud and losses of revenue of firms in Nigeria. The researcher recommends that Banks should employ the service of auditors for effective operation of their business as well as prevention and reduction of fraud. The researcher further recommends that Banks should prepare proper financial statement that would help auditors in their audit work.
