Development Of Queue Management Model For Effective Service Delivery In Automobile Repair Shops (A Case Study Of Udo Motors Ltd)

ABSTRACT

 A software for management of queue in an automotive workshop. This software uses the service time of each job, and waiting time to calculate the estimated delivery time of a jobs that are carried out in the automobile workshop. The software requires also the phone numbers and email of customers to communicate them after the completion of each jobs. The method of collection of these data is carried out manually since it is designed to reduce waiting time of customers and idle time of workers. The software is cost effective in order to make it available to everyone who runs an automobile maintenance workshop. The software is written in Java Script programming language using Json server platform, which is cross-platform and runs on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris and other platforms supporting a compatible JVM.
