ABSTRACT

Weather forecasting and reporting lias over the years become a necessity for most people and firms especially in-flight operations, sailors and captains and hence, most times there are changes in weather situations and conditions and hence it demands a proper way to ascertain and convey these changes. Therefore, this project work ‘"Development of Weather Decision Support System for Weather Forecasting" helps weather forecasters to make effective management decisions on weather changes, convey the information and changes to the appropriate persons and maintain a consistent database ofweather reports and analysis which can be accessed by various work stations. It therefore, solves the problem of ignorance in weather changes, loss of weather report data and reduces the number of accidents that may occur due to weather conditions. This project work was developed using the Microsoft Visual Basic.Net and Microsoft Access database as the programming and database platforms respectively
