ABSTRACT

 The Product Expiry Alert Management System is a web-based application developed to address the challenges of manual expiry tracking in supermarkets, such as errors, financial losses, and health risks. The system was designed using ReactlS and React Context API with authentication persistence through local storage, mock authentication, and in-memory data storage. It provides secure login for users and administrators, enabling users to verify product status while administrators can manage product data and receive expiry alerts. The result is a functional prototype that improves accuracy, reduces waste, enhances customer trust, and supports compliance with safety standards. In conclusion, the system offers a lightweight, front-end proofof-concept that replaces inefficient manual processes with an intelligent digital alternative, serving as a foundation for future expansion into full-scale inventory management solutions.
