Design And Implementation Of Computerized Transcript System For Exams And Records Unit For Mouau Umudike

ABSTRACT

This research   work is on Design and Implementation of Computerized transcript Generation Process (D1CT”P). II was carried out with intention to solve the problems facing the Exams and Records degree unit of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture umudike, Abia State in generating transcript For students. These problems Include: Manual Record keeping, Filing, Manual Searching, and Retrieval and sorting of Students result, Manual calculation of students' grade such as GP, GPA, CGPA, FCGPA, Classes of degree. If this proposed system is implanted then the problems enumerated above can be solved. This system will electronically keep files, sort them, and allow for their easy retrieval when needed, prevents alternation of results as well as print the transcript as and when needed. The program used here is PHP while the database is MySQL Server, because of its ease of Use. In a bid to maximize its benefit, personnel in exams and records need to embark on in-service training. When this is done problems transcript generation will be solved. This new system offers speed, accuracy and efficiency. This project has suggestion and recommendation for further research.
