Design And Implementation Of A Vocational Counsel Expert System (Voces)

ABSTRACT

In virtually all schools in the country today could be noticed the absence of guidance counsellors who play a key role in assisting student in choosing an appropriate field to study and where this is one, the cost of maintaining such service are exorbitantly high and much time is often consumed due manual operation and in certain cases it might take endless period gaining asses to such services. Thus this project is out to develop an expert system which would handle similar cases as expected of guidance counsellor with same level of end result. It should be born in mind though that project is limited to designing a system that would provide counselling to junior and secondary leavers only and as expected there could be area on which improvement could be made for commercial purpose. To achieve this, a Microsoft Technology (Visual Base 6.0) is used to develop a windows application on Visual Basic platform. The user interface is very interactive which makes it easy for users.
