Design And Implementation Of A Cyber Billing Time Management System. (A Case Study National Research Root Crop Institute Computer Unit Umudike)

ABSTRACT

Computer and information technology have provided the individual great opportunity for business ownership, business organization and to the companies a way of assessing the Internet directly in order to render effective services to the public. It has indeed afforded effective management and organization to establishments, through proper time management billing system. This avenue which is popularly known as cyber café render service to the customers through the issuing of ticket/coupon depending on how long they want to spend on the system. Unfortunately most individual intentionally break the client biller in order to have access to the system without being timed causing a loss in the financial life of the establishment. Due to this, the research decided to take up a project in this area with a case study of the National Root Crops Research Institute (N.R.C.R.I) computer department. During the investigation a lot of information regarding the existing system was obtained using interviews questionnaires, observation of users etc. The collected data was analyzed, the processes associated with the system were modeled, and the problems affecting the entire system were observed. With this in mind a more reliable time management billing system software is designed to reduce the rate of hacking in the cyber café.
