ABSTRACT

This study involved the Design and Fabrication of a Low Voltage Mini Refrigerator. In Nigeria where power is not properly distributed, many reason may prevent the proper operation of the refrigerator and damage may occur. A remotely configured supervisory and data acquisition system for refrigerator is proposed. The design is based on utilizing power input ranging from 140v to 240v in running the (LVR) Refrigerator with an (AVS) microprocessing device which monitors the fluctuation of voltage during operation. The experiment data Were analyzed using the Laws and Thermodynaics properties of saturated and superheated refrigerant R134A to determine the quality of the refrigerant at 4 different stages. During test, the heat rejected from the evaporate and work done by the compressor where found to be 441.8KW and 59.8KW respectively. Also at steady state discharge and suction refrigerant pressure obtain were 500KPa and 14OKpa respectively, while the net (COP) is 6.KW
