ABSTRACT
Manual extraction of coconut oil has existed for centuries, with its importance found in our daily activities. In order to integrate both the grating and extracting of coconut oil, this project is birthed as it improves the efficiency of the processing of coconut oil. Against the manual method of processing which has a pressing and grating efficiency of 67%, other innovations have been made to grate or extract the coconut oil. The efficiency and proper integration of the manufacturing processes to extract the coconut oil have been developed for economically extracting coconut oil. The economic factor of the newly developed oil extracted machine is relatively cheap as a total cost of 109050 naira was used to fabricate the machine with an efficiency of 92.3%. the capacity of the improved machine is rated to be 10.12kg/hr. Stainless steel materials were used for the grating and extracting units to help prevent the issue of corrosion Hence the newly improved machine is safe, economical and more efficient
