ABSTRACT

Variety they say is the spice of life. Mans search and desire for variation in the broadest sense has found its way into power supply utilization. Therefore the need for variability in D.C. power supply. This is the essence of this work limited to 0- 30 voltage range. The variable D.0 power supply technology is well known, the world over. This project was under taken in order to seek possible areas of improvement. A general introduction of variable D.0 voltage supply is contained in this work, a systematic work of explaining the basic principles and technicalities of variable D.C. supply is applied. Where A.C. power is stepped down from 230volts to a useable 30 volts; consequently this is rectified using the bridge rectifier, filtered, stabilized, regulated using a voltage regulator LM 723CN, and further filter. To give us our expected output. The main aspect of our work concerned with the design and construction details of the variable D.0 supply; including diagrams, ratings of elements among others are contained in the third chapter. Also the bill of engineering measurement and evaluation an intricate part of this work is present.
