ABSTRACT
The design and construction of 50HZ, 220V/ 1.5kVA inverter with a closed loop charging system is primarily based on an inverter circuit which inverts the D.C. source voltage from a battery to AC voltage for AC powered appliances. The overall operation of this system comprises inter connections of many sub-circuits to give optimum performances. The sub circuits include; the oscillator circuit, PWM circuit, the output circuit and transformer section. This project incorporates a closed loop charging system that helps to charge the system battery, thereby increasing usage time, and visual display component (voltmeter) to communicate the state ofthe system to the user.
