ABSTRACT
Electrical energy is very essential to modern living. In fact the rapid march or progress of civilization in the past hundred years Electricity comes in two forms i.e. alternating current (A.C.) and direct current (D.C.) often conversion of one form to the other is required in given situations. An inverter is used to convert D.C. to A.C. and rectifier is used to convert A.C. to D.C. This project involves the design of an inverter that is electricity by solar can be generated through various means e.g. hydro power systems, alternators, D.C. generators, solar energy wind turbines, chemical batteries etc. As the world experiences more and more atmospheric pollutions through gases emitted by industries, coal fired electrical generators, diesel powered generators etc, the need for electrical systems that do not pollute the air becomes obvious. Solar energy systems supplying electricity and wind powered electrical turbines are becoming increasingly needed and installed. In a solar energy system, sunlight or light is converted in photovoltaic solar cells into direct current (D.C.). This may be used directly to power de based appliances or equipments. The de may also be converted to A.C. using an electrical inverter for use in A.C studied and evaluated for enhancement of modern human living and societal good. MATLAB m-files is used to simulate the measured values to evaluate the behavior ofthe inverter. The result shows that both the battery voltage and the AC voltage drop at the application of load. x 1.5KVA inverter to supply electrical power. The various components of such a system are can be attributed mostly to electricity and its uses
