Court Services Management Information System (Case Study Of Owerri High Court)

ABSTRACT

The development and advancement in computer technology has really helped mankind, the merits are more than the demerits. In the years past, large volumes of files, documents were put into file cabinets, which occupy very large spaces, prone to destruction by termites, cockroaches and other insects. It poses a big problem to man in searching for particular information and very tedious to retrieve such information and also time consuming. Thanks to God who has made it possible for the introduction of computer to reduce man's suffering and problems. Computers can be used to store large volume of data in an information system. The purpose of this project is to design and develop an effective legal management information system capable of enhancing court services. The researcher gathered adequate information from observations, interviews, and examination of relevant documents. Sequel to this, an effective management information system was designed and developed using Microsoft Access and Hyper Text Mark-up Language (HTML). The use of Hyper Text mark-up Language as the interface is to enable the work to be hosted in website in the future. Finally, the management information system software developed was tested and confirmed working after which it was documented.
