Computerized, Transport, Management System (Case Study Cross Rivers State Mass Transit)

ABSTRACT

The project "Computerized Transport Management System: A Case Study of Cross River State Mass Transit", the study was conducted to determine the mode; of operation of the present system of transportation and its efficiency. Transportation is one of the essential activities needed to carry out our daily business because it involves movement of goods, service and even human beings from one place to another. The manual method mode of operation used by Cross Line mass transit was analysed and a computerized motor transport management system was developed. The system is bid to enhance fast and efficient services which will make provision for computerized documentation and Report of Cross line mass transit, services regarding their operations and services rendered to customers. Chapter one of this research is a general introduction of transportation, historical background of the case study was done, the scope and limitation of the study and definition of terms. Chapter two is the literature review, defining transportation and the basic types of transportation and some other transport activities from different authors and persons. Chapter three handles the research methodology and design, data collection techniques used and also the analysis of the existing system. Chapter four X—rays the system analysis and implementation model, showing the scope of the design reached, input specification, programs and the system forms. Finally, chapter five is the summary, recommendation and conclusion.
