ABSTRACT

This research work on the computerization of Animal Nutrition Experimental System, which is applied to the effect of enzyme supplementation on the performance of pullet fed soybean meal (SBM) or groundnut cake (GNC) base diets. The used information required to actualized the work is an enzyme used which was bio-growth promoter. The experimental design used was 2 by 2 factorial in complete randomized design. The four diet treatment, each replicated with a selected number of times with the number of animal per replicate. Parameter computed were the initial live weight, final live weight, weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio (FCR), protein intake, mortality, and protein efficiency ratio (PER). An interface is setup to help researcher input data when setting up a new experiment. Also the costs of feed for the diets were used to determined the results of the experiment analyzed and summarized by the system. in The software package used for the development of the application that handles the experimental system was visual basic 6.0 enterprise edition with an active X data control, using Ado connecting it to the database. A provision is made that hard copy (report) of the result experiment could be printed out for documentation purposes.
