Challenges And Prospect Of Auditing In A Computerized Accounting System (A Study Of 7-Up Company Plc Aba)

ABSTRACT

Auditing in a computerized accounting system brings with it a lot of

prospects as well as some daunting challenges. This study was

carried out to empirically examine the challenges and prospects of

computerized based auditing in 7up Plc. Aba. Primary data needed

for the statistical analysis was generated through the administration

of questionnaire. The collated primary data was analyzed using

simple percentage/cumulative frequency and ordinary least square

(OLS) simple regression analysis. The empirical results revealed that

there was a positive and statistically significait impact of

computerized aiditing on the accuracy of book keeping entries and

there was a positive and statistically significant impact of

computerized auditing on the business environment.
