ABSTRACT

The future of tomorrow lies in the hands of our children. As a result ofthat, their educational welfare should not be tampered with. Of course, education is a basic tool that can set the ball of all-round progress of our children rolling to unlimited greatness. This Cape Primary Two Social Studies, is a total book, which has all it takes to transform the child fully in its preparation for greatness in the society and extolling good morals; eschewing all forms of social vices. It has surveyed, in every simplicity of language in order to enhance proper understanding both for the target audience and general readership, most of the salient issues which can either make or mar any society. The contents, organization, presentation, and expression, are both simple and concise. Besides, the book is in consonance with the recent primary school curriculum developed by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC). However, the slight difference in relation to the content is to meet the yearnings ofthe exceptional pupils. Therefore, I strongly recommend this book to anyone who needs an up-to-date standard book on Primary TwoSocial Studies.
