Building Secure System For Distributed Computing Environment

ABSTRACT

Information is stored on computer and transmitted over the internet, we need to ensure information security and safety especially in a distributed computer environment. The project was designed, taking into consideration of data security in an unsecured network, and also consider the greater potential for data loss, security breaches and virus when creating a network. The system (data security in an unsecured network) was developed for any company, industries and organization (e.g University of Port Harcourt) who wish to ensure proper security of vital data and information of the organization. The system was developed to help secure important data that needs to be transferred over an unsecured network. The system is implanted using the concept of cryptography which include data encryption and decryption techniques. The programming language use to develop the system is C# which runs on Microsoft visual studio as the integrated development environment.
