ABSTRACT

The study experienced the availability of digital information resources and users satisfaction in MOUAU library. The main purpose of the study is to find out the availability of digital information resources and users satisfaction in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. The study was guided by four (4) purposes and four (4) research questions. The research design used for this study is the descriptive research design. The instrument used was structured questionnaire administered to the 300L students of Library and Information Science. The sample size is 150 comprising of all 300L students of Library and Information Science of which one hundred and fifty copies of questionnaire were distributed. One hundred and forty six (146) copies of questionnaires were returned and found useable for the analysis representing a response rate of 97.3%. Findings indicated a high extent of availability of digital information resources, a low extent of user satisfaction in the utilization of digital information, lack of maintenance of digital resources and none availability of online database, network problem are the major factors militating against the availability of digital information resources in MOUAU library. The study recommended that provision of funds by university management should be provided by the university management
