Appraisal Of The Functions Of Audit Committee In Corporate Organization In Nigeria

 This project focuses on the appraisal, of the functions of audit committee in corporate organization in Nigeria. The research was carried out among other things was set to appraise the functions of audit committee in corporate organization in Nigeria. To identify the benefits to be derived by management and to discuss in details the general concepts of the functions of audit committee in corporate organization. The data collected for the study were analyzed, tabulated and presented using descriptive and sample percentages. The hypothesis (research questions) were listed using qualitative chi-square (X2) as the inferential statistic at a = 0.05 significant level with X2 df ,= (r- 1) (C-i) for sample size in which is same as N in this study. The observation was compared with the frequencies. The chi- square (X2) was calculated and the result compared with the critical value etc. The result of analysis showed that there is effective contribution of audit committee in the performance of the organization.
