Analysis Of Loan Repayment Performance In The Nigerian Bank Of Agriculture By Credit Beneficiaries In Umunneochi L.G.A Of Abia-State

ABSTRACT

This study investigated loan repayment performance of Bank of Agriculture Credit Beneficiaries in Umunneochi L.G.A of Abia State. A simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 40 loan beneficiaries purposively. Descriptive statistics like frequency, percentage and mean were used to analyse the socio-economic characteristics while ordinary least square method was used to establish relationship between loan repaid and the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents. Discriminant analysis was classified into performing and non-performing loan. The classification performance of the function was 77.5%. Four functional form was used in the regression and exponential form was taken as lead equation because it has relative high F-ratio (7.2) and R2(0.54).s.
