ABSTRACT

I welcome all our staff and prayer partners to this September edition of our Special Quarterly Prayer program, LIFTING UP MOUAU, on this seventh day of September, 2022. It is a thing of great joy to come together again to celebrate the faithfulness and mercies of God to us as a Community and individuals.  As I mentioned in June, the Lord God Almighty has led us through a tortuous season of confusion, leanness, and insecurity in the last eight months.  We give Him praise.  The Lord God has shown us that man shall not live by bread alone, as it is certain that many have over the last seven months depended solely on Him to feed themselves and family.  The turn of events seems to have taken everyone by surprise because we never expected that the strike actions the staff embarked upon should take such a long time.

At Abuja yesterday, frank talks were held between the Minister of Education and his staff and a cross-section of Pro-Chancellors, and Vice-Chancellors regarding the situation.  From the body-language of the forum, there seems to be hope, but we must wait to see it come through.  Hence, our prayers today shall include bringing the results of the discussion yesterday to fruition.  Once again, our God is very interested in us, no matter how confused, He is knowledgeable enough, and He alone can resolve our confusion and lost opportunities.
