ABSTRACT

This reviewpaperpresents the background introduction, theories, literature review and analysis of information service systems in agriculture. The usefulness of informationfor agriculture, sources ofagricultural information, types ofinformation needs for agricultural development, problems of dissemination of agricultural information are discussed. The study identified agricultural information systems components, their availability, the understanding of how successfully they work problems associatedwith them andhow to improve theirperformances. The review of analysis methods and processes of agricultural information systems are also explained. They can also be used to develop suggestions to solve the common problems in agricultural information systems, to improve the policy programs, the extension and research activities, and to manage information on agriculture. Finally> general conclusions about agricultural information systems are emphasised and implications for further development of agriculture information systems are presented
