A Statistical Quality Control On Emulsion Paint A Case Study Of Sunpac Emulsion Paint Abakiliki, Ebonyi State

ABSTRACT

A statistical quality control carried out on Sunpac Emulsion paint, Abakiliki, Ebonyi State. The research work data comprises 3 quality characteristics namely "total dissolved solids", "p1-I value" and "total hardness" which were being tested using the statistical process control technique (X bar & R chart). This was done after the 3 quality characteristics were being justified on the basis of the assumption of SPC. The X bar & R chart were being used to measure the process average and process variability and it was observed that oLit of all 3 quality characteristics, the total hardness data was found only to he in control while others were not. The revised control charts were being constructed for the quality characteristics whose points were out of control. So from my findings, I recommend that aside the total hardness data, Sunpac Emulsion paint. Abakiliki , Ebonyi State, should employ the results gotten from the revised control charts so as to reduce variations and maintain quality standard paint.
