ABSTRACT

Aspect of Statistical Quality Control (SQC ) is to device Statistical methods that isolate assignable variation from random variation and enable us to detect, identify and eliminate the assignable causes of variations, this study investigates the distillation of ethanol, and the monitoring Drocess, using Statistical Quality Control (SQC) techniques to determine if he observed variations are due to random or assignable causes, the Statistical monitoring tools used re the — Chart and R — Chart ,MINITAB was employed in other to fit the control S limits capable of determining if a production process are under Control or not. The charts are simultaneously used in the analysis of the two distillation column considered, which are distil column A and distil column C, to investigate mass fraction of crude ethanol and strength of ethanol respectively.
