ABSTRACT

A cömparism of the influence of two fish feeds on the growth rate of C. gclriepinus juveniles was studied. The experiment was conducted indoor for a period of l4weeks. Two months old juveniles (5fish/m2) were stociced into 30-L bowls containing 20-L of water. Two different feeds (Euro and Dizengoff) of varying crude protein level (40.60% and 47.25%) were utilized during the culture period. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the mean weight of the fish were significantly different at (P<0.05).There were significant differences (p<O.05) observed in the mean length. The highest mean weight and mean Length at the end of the study period was recorded for the fishes fed with Euro feed of 40.60% CP (132.3g± 6.20 S.E) and (23.53cm ± 0.64 S.E.) respectively followed by those fed with Dizengoff feed of 47.25% CP (130.lg ± 2.45 S.E.) and (22.6cm ± 0.54 S.E) respectively. The regression analysis tries to asses the length weight relationship of the fish fed with Euro and Dizongoff feed. The highest survival rate of 96% vas recorded for Euro feed followed by Dizengoff feed with the value of 76% survival.
