ABSTRACT
The research work examines the role of law in shaping accounting principles, standard and practice with particular reference to Adenusi and company in Lagos. A study makes use of primary data obtained through the administration of a well structured questionnaire. The collated data were analyzed using ordinary least square. The result reveal that there is relationship between legal and accounting profession and it was recommended that accountant should pay attention to laws of country as well as the basic accounting principle and standard.
