ABSTRACT

The research study focused on Role Of Accountants In National And Economic Development of Nigeria .For the purpose of this study a brief introduction of the role of the accountant were discussed in details as regards to restructuring the areas of national development, statement of the problems and objectives of the study. This is followed by research question and statement of Hypothesis, scope of the study. The current literature books and write ups were reviewed. The researcher used description interview method and extraction method for the research design, both primary and secondary data were used. The research instruments used were questionnaire and oral interview .ln representing and analyzing the data collected after classification, percentage was used, contingencies table was also used, hypothesis was tested using chi-square model. Synopsis of the study was made including a comprehensive summary of the findings conclusion was drawn and recommendation were made for the effective role of the accountant as on and to national and economic development.
