ABSTRACT

Capital budgeting decision no doubt plays an important role in the performance of a firm this helps to determine the size and strength of such firm. The effectiveness and efficiency of such depends to a great extend on the, techniques of appraisal used. Thus this project answers such question as what type of Capital budgeting should' be used to maximize profitability of a firm? Among other questions. Chapter one presented the background of the study, statement of the problem, objective of the study, research question, statement of hypothesis, significant of the study and limitation of the study. Chapter two present the literature review, the researcher exposited and overviewed of the study, chapter three present the research design. the area of the study, population of the study, scope of the study, sample and sample techniques, method of data collection and method of data analysis. Chapter four present the presentation and analysis, questionnaire distributed and return, analysis of research questionnaire, testing of hypothesis and discussion of findings. Chapter five present summary, finding, conclusion and recommendation.
